Loren Blaine Fox 

April 17, 1968 – January 3, 2022

Loren Fox, 53, Minot, died Monday, January 3, 2022, at a Bismarck hospital.

Loren Blaine Fox was born April 17, 1968, in Los Angeles, CA, to Sidney and Sarah (Lockwood) Fox. The family moved around due to his father’s work. He attended school at Wahpeton Indian Board School and Flandreau Indian School. He earned his GED in Lansing, MI.

On August 31, 1994, Loren was united in marriage to Clarice Windy Boy, in New Town. They made their home throughout North Dakota. He worked in the kitchen for several businesses throughout North Dakota including for 4 Bears Casino in New Town, Mr. & Mrs. J’s and Spirit Lake Casino, both in Devils Lake, and several places in Bismarck and Mandan. 

Loren enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family and friends. In his younger years, he boxed. He was also a sun-dancer. He liked listening to music especially Elvis and the Beatles.  Loren was a member of the Native American Church and the Church of God. He will be missed by those who knew him.

Loren is survived by his wife: Clarice Fox; brothers, Grayson Dye, Travis Dye, Darwin Dye, Clesston Smith, and Wilford Lockwood, and their families; sister, LeeAnn Fox; special nephew, Johnothan Lee Fox; Godchildren, Jessenia Brown and Mckayla Potts; aunts and uncles, aunts and uncles, Al Demaray, Charlene Lockwood, Jane Lockwood, Rena Lockwood, and Larry J Lockwood.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; stepmother, Barbara Fox; brothers, Monteque “Turks” and Jason Corey.

Loren’s funeral was held Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 10 a.m., at Langhans Funeral Home, Parshall

In honor of Loren’s wishes, he was cremated following the funeral service.
