Francine Ursula Mad Plume was born July 4, 1973, to Donna White Bird and Frank “Tex” Mad Plume, at Minne-Tohe Clinic, at Four Bears, in New Town.
She was raised in Parshall where she attended elementary school. As a young girl, she enjoyed dancing. She graduated high school at Flandreau Indian School in South Dakota. She continued her education at Haskell University in Kansas.
Francine was once married to Kevin Davis, Sr., and blessed with two sons, Kevin Jr. and Keyvin. They made their home in Kansas City, Missouri for several years before moving to Browning, MT. She later moved to Dilworth, MN, where she met her life partner, Santiago Salazar, in 2000. They were blessed with three children, Katija Salazar, Fransico Salazar and Cuba Mad Plume.
A “jack-of-all-trades”, Francine worked a variety of jobs to provide for her family. She drove bus, worked as a bank teller, and even a fry cook. Her dream job was to be a paralegal. She enjoyed tackling DYI projects and could do just about anything she tried.
Francine was a beautiful woman; she liked to look her best. She was outgoing and liked to laugh. She was artistic and enjoyed drawing and photography.
