Randy Baker and Jon Keplin teamed up for some good times together at Healing Horse Ranch team roping competition on Sunday

By Logan J. Davis

The Healing Horse Ranch in Parshall hosted a roping event on Sunday and the arena was busy with many talented team ropers and breakaway ropers of all ages competing for cash prizes. The event was just another great time for rodeo fans and the many competitive ropers in the region.

There was a great arena facility to host the roping and a lot of camaraderie among the ropers and the fans were glad to see their favorite ropers and riders do what they love to do. Rodeo season will be in full swing with the Healing Horse Ranch being a center for rodeo activities along with being the place to practice roping and riding. With the COVID-19 holding back activities at the facility for some time, the Healing Horse Ranch will once again begin to be a place where regular rodeo events will be held locally.

The results for the ‘Super Slide’ top average payoffs was first place going to header Ryder Keplin and heeler Tucker Dale. Second place was won by team roping partners Kyane Hampton and Jesse Frederickson and third place went to Kyane Hampton and Trey Bombach.

In the overall average payoffs, first place went to header Danielle Fladeland and her heeling partner Jon Keplin. Second place was won by team roping duo Randy Baker and Jace Johnson. Third place finishers were Tom Hanson and Todd Brown.

There were concessions of fresh turkey noodle soup and frybread available at the event on Sunday to enjoy.
