BISMARCK — Sen. Kristin Roers, R-Fargo, geared up in her illegal, pink hunting coat for her bill hearing on Thursday, Jan. 21.
The District 27 representative is the primary sponsor of Senate Bill 2143, which would add fluorescent pink as a second clothing color option for hunters.
Roers said her interest in the issue started when she had to buy her own hunting gear in 2019. She said her options were to get something orange that didn’t fit, or get something pink that fit, but was illegal.
With no colorful opposition, the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee gave the bill a “do pass” recommendation.
