Cowboy Life Ministry Hosts Rodeo Bible Camp for Youth in Parshall in Continuance of Mission
By Logan J. Davis
The spiritual connection many people feel around horses were coupled with prayer in a Christian teaching environment last week at the Healing Horse Ranch in Parshall. Cowboy Life Ministry is a group of people who are dedicated to serving communities through rodeo Bible camps, horsemanship clinics, pastor gatherings, and what the ministry calls “cowboy and Indian missions.
There were many young participants who enjoyed the event that took place for three days and the joyful looks on the faces of youngsters as young as four years old was priceless as they rode around the Healing Horse indoor arena. There were two age classes, 12-16 years and 8-11 years old. The camp and all classes and lunches were free and included team roping, goat tying, barrel racing, steer riding, breakaway roping and a few competitive games.

The Cowboy Life Ministry organizers from Montgomery, Texas believe in teaching insight to youth for life inside and outside the rodeo arena. A portion of the Bible camp was devoted to reading from scriptures and how it applies to the daily lives of young people and in relation to horsemanship.
The organization’s mission is to present the gospel using the cowboy lifestyle to connect with people bringing them to a relationship with Jesus Christ.
