On the track of any Indian relay race, it is always a battle and not for the faint of heart to be part of any team. The ladies Indian relay team from the MHA Nation that competes across the nation in the native traditional races is no exception. The Blue Blossom Express thundered into Odgen, Utah and came away with their second championship in the last two years at the Weber County Indian Relay Races. It was another huge battle but the team and that includes the race horses was victorious again with team rider Jessee Vigen sailing to the championship. The young ladies that form such a great team are rider Jessee Vigen, exchange holder Hailey Vigen and catcher Shanelle Hogan. The trio enjoy the thrills that come with the ever-growing sport of Indian relay races. 

Riders and teams from North Dakota, Montana, South Dakota, Idaho, Washington, Wyoming and Canada did some amazing riding and the exchanges were wild as usual after every lap. The Horse Nations Indian Relay Council hosted the races that weekend that coincided with the Weber County Fair. The races took place at the Golden Spikes Event Center Racetrack and social distancing and masks were part of the guidelines to protect all teams and fans throughout the fair and races.
