Chairman Fox's Weekly Projects Update

The healing walk group was full of good energy and prayed for loved ones throughout their walk at the Fall Fest

By Logan J. Davis

The Northeast Segment Fall Fest produced a full harvest of fun and positive community connections. The event began with a healing walk coordinated by Susie Simpson who gave several reasons for all to be grateful for life and good health. The healing walk was sponsored by Nueta Hidatsa Sahnish College. Simpson asked for a prayer from Delvin Driver Sr. and he responded with a powerful prayer and a song for healing. The walk then started with many participants with all holding balloons.

After the walk concluded, the people let the balloons loose and the activities began in the Parshall Lucky Mound Veterans Memorial Hall (Red Hall) with a bingo, many vendors from the community, a DJ who not only played great music, but he also called a bingo that everyone loved taking part in – especially the winners. There were also many great door prizes given out throughout the activities in the gym.

There was a great community meal that included burgers, brats, hot dogs, potato salad and desserts. The grilling was done by Garcia Walks.

Monica Chavez-Dixon was one of the coordinators who prepared for the event and she was very appreciative of everyone who helped make the Fall Fest such a wonderful success.
