Jacqueline Faye “Sugar” Parshall-Foote

Jacqueline Faye “Sugar” Parshall-Foote, (Sweet Water “Midi Zmzudga”), 60, Parshall, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020 at a Minot hospital.
Jacqueline “Jackie” was born January 31, 1960 in Stanley, to Paul Parshall and Elizabeth Little Owl. She was a granddaughter of George Parshall, founder of Parshall. She was raised in the Parshall area and attended school in Chamberlain, SD. She completed her high school education and received her diploma at Job Corps in Oklahoma and returned to North Dakota.
While living in Bismarck over a period of 10 years, she attended United Tribes Technical College and earned degrees in Business Administration and Office Technology, graduating with her son, Travis. She also worked in telemarking during this time. After returning to Parshall, she worked for Three Affiliated Tribes for 20 years, in various departments, including daycare and PBX.
Jackie was most known as Sugar or Sugs. She was married to Alvin Foote, Sr. for 12 years and they were blessed with six children. She helped raise her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She had an outgoing and vibrant personality. Her smile could light up the room.
During Jackie’s younger years, she could always be counted on to help with sewing projects, such as dancing outfits, quilting, and shawls. She was also a great baker for many fundraisers. Her big heart and caring ways will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was always willing to help and never turned anyone away.
Jackie is survived by her sons, Travis Parshall, Alvin Foote Jr, and Skye Foote; daughters, Juscinta Parshall, Aileen Foote, and Rose Foote; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Feather, Troy, Trey, Trenton, Elias, Anastia, Weston, and Keanu; brother, Russell Parshall; companion of 16 years, William “Bill” Halsey; little sister, Lovie; aunts, Delores Sand, Truby Stiffarm and Reneta Mandan.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Paula Amy Parshall, Barbara Bear, and Merle Henke; brothers, George Troy Parshall and Melvin Henke; and nieces, Savannah Crows Breast and Rubi Parshall.
The family held a public graveside service on Friday, July 17, 2020 at St. Bridget Catholic Cemetery in Parshall
